3. Make It Easy For Them
1. You Have To Ask
Seriously, no one just gives reviews. Luckily, there is a natural & easy way to ask them! Here is a copy and paste template of a message that you can send to your clients after they’ve purchased your products:
“Hey ___! I just wanted to check in and see how the products are working for you?
**They’ll tell you it’s great, they’re loving it etc...*
REPLY: “That is so great to hear, I appreciate the feedback! Would you be willing to take 60 seconds and write a quick testimonial on how you’re liking the products? As a small business owner it means a lot!”
It’s that easy; you just have to make sure you consistently ask. So set a goal for how many reviews you'll ask for per week, and stick to it!
2. Offer Your Clients Something In Return
Make leaving a review into a win-win situation for you and your clients. There are lots of ways that you can do this. Here are some examples:
- Enter anyone who writes you a review is entered into a draw to win a free treatment
- You offer anyone who writes you a review a free product (ex: a sample or full size free product)
- You offer a free add-on during their next treatment (ex: red light therapy)
Not only can you use this offer as a way to immediately win yourself a free review, but you are simultaneously using this to promote your other services/products that your clients might not have otherwise tried. Offering your clients something tangible in return is guaranteed to get you some amazing feedback + testimonials.
3. Make It Easy For Them
This is a very important part of the process. When you are asking your clients for a review, you need to make sure that you make it as EASY as possible for them to do this for you. For example, attach a link to your Google Review page in your email or message asking for the review. If you are asking your clients in person, you could print business cards with a QR code that leads them to your review page!
Another method is to ask your clients for testimonials using video reviews, or before + after photos. This is, of course, if your clients are willing to be on camera! Video reviews and before & after photos are very powerful to prove the amazing results of your treatments.
You can offer your clients the following prompts to give you the best possible testimonial:
- What was your biggest skincare concern that you were hoping to address?
- How did you feel after your first session with me/using my products?
- Are there any specific changes or results that you can share?
- What would you say to someone who was on the fence about booking with me or using my services?
Definitely offer your clients something in return if they are willing to do either of these for you (see point #2)!
Conclusion
Now that you are armed with strategies for how to ask your clients for reviews - get out there and do it! We can guarantee you that when you start asking, offering something in return, and making it easy - you will see your 5 star reviews SKYROCKET. You’ve got this!
